Synopsis

A recognizable story about one family's struggles with Alzheimer's disease Shit Happens is not a film about dementia and illness. It's a film about the dawning realization that a family must be more and can be more than just the sum of its parts. With a fantastic cast, starring Jeroen Krabbé The Fugitive, The Living Daylights and Hadewych Mines Toni Erdmann, Borgman The relationships between the four adult children of a family are put to the test when it turns out their father concealed his illness. They have to confront each other and themselves to get close to one another.
