Synopsis
Lucy - Breaking the Silence tells the story of a bubbly 22-year old girl who lived in Reigate, England. Lucy Rayner, who had tons of friends, a bustling social life, and on the surface, a very happy person. However, Lucy took her own life on the 5th of May. No one saw it coming. It was a total surprise to her family. This compelling and emotional documentary looks at Lucy’s life, the issue of mental health in young adults and the uplifting way of how her family have dealt with such a terrible tragedy, and help others prevent similar tragedies. After a very challenging 2020 for mental health, this film is a must see.
